There are many books that center on the annual Festival in Pamplona, Spain Sanfermines. Many will recognize the festival from the eight days that bulls and men run through the streets together. Many people from around the world come back year after year. The author of this book, Tim Pinks, is one of those who have returned annually for many years. Often, those of us who return, try to explain the core of the magic. Bullseye, Tim Pink's book left me with a good feeling after reading it; it fits in well with the spirit of Feria and everything that goes on. Bullseye focuses on a group of bulls from a famous ranch, the men who bring them from their ranch to Pamplona and their shared journey to the streets of Pamplona. The feeling is one of fellowship between the men and the bulls and a shared destiny. Of special mention are the spirits of the ghost runners; and the lack of anger between men and bulls. This is a very special book; I recommend it highly.
